‍Step One Recovery Resources was founded by Andrew, a recovering alcoholic since December 2019. Andrew knows firsthand the struggles associated with beginning and maintaining a recovery journey. In 2017, after years of battling addiction, Andrew hit rock bottom. Desperate, lost, and overwhelmed, he turned to the internet, searching phrases like "how to stop drinking," "am I an alcoholic," and "help with alcoholism." The flood of information made the journey seem insurmountable. In what Andrew calls a "god shot," he found an open bed at a treatment center, and his journey to sobriety began. From his struggle, Step One Recovery Resources was born. Andrew's dream was to create a space where finding help doesn't have to be hard or sold to the highest bidder. A place where both newcomers and seasoned individuals in recovery can find the support they need, and where addicts and their loved ones can access just the right information when and where they need it.
